The San Francisco 49ers are loading up at cornerback. The Buccaneers announced that they traded corner Eric Wright to the 49ers for a conditional 2014 draft pick. Wright will enter a deep stable of cornerbacks, which includes returning corners Chris Culliver, Tarrell Brown and Carlos Rogers, as well as free agent signing Nnamdi Asomugha. Wright, selected in the second round of the 2007 NFL draft, spent his first four NFL seasons with the Cleveland Browns, after spending the 2011 season with Detroit, Wright played for the Bucs in 2012. In his career, Wright has totaled 360 tackles, 14 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns. Source: Scout.com
Conditional pick, if he blows there probably won't be an exchange, which is likely because he freaking sucks
Financially low-risk pickup. Don't like the off-the-field issues, but if he produces and keeps his nose clean then its a win. I didn't like when SF picked up Cox either, but he didn't draw negative attention to himself during the season or off-season. Good so far..
Marques Colston, Donald Driver, Shannon Sharpe, Harold Carmichael, Tom Nalen, Gary Anderson, TJ Houshmansadeh, Stevie Johnson, Jim Ringo, Rayfield Wright, Larry Wilson, Joe Schmidt, Gene Hickerson, Bobby Mitchell, and Jake Scott were all 7th round picks, so thank you.
too bad none of those you named were Bucs(i think)....now name all the 7th rounders that DIDN'T do crap....lol
So you can pretty much count on two hands and feet the 7th rounders who worked out well. Lol. 7th rounders are almost worthless.
