I am watching the NFL Network coverage and STILL have to deal with Berman. Can we please put him out to pasture? When was the last time he was entertaining? Anyway, happy to see an ex-Oiler go in. He did as much if not more with the Chiefs but was a rock on the D-Line in the mid to late 70's.
Berman stopped being funny a LONG time ago. Can't wait to hear Larry Allen speak. When he played with the Cowboys, he was so quiet. Parcells too. He has so many stories to tell.
Good speech by Jonathan Ogden. What a wall he was, 6-9 tackle who blocked everyone who came his way. Dave Robinson now up, amazing that he's the 12th Packer from the Lombardi era to be enshrined.
I couldn't believe Ogden has been retired 5 years already. Seems like just last year I was still watching him play.
Damn Larry Allen's speech was the crap. So much emotion for such a quiet guy. Awesome stuff. Nice bit about being the strongest man in the NFL and "doing it naturally." Fantastic speech.
Really good stuff from Larry Allen. Wow, that story about his mom making him fight each day....that was an uneasy clap from the crowd. It's Tuna time! I am looking forward to his speech. I used to love how he handled the NY media week in and week out. Some of the funniest press conferences ever.
Larry was one of the best offensive lineman I've ever seen play. I don't know how I feel about Sapp being in there as a Buc. Would rather see Lynch, Brooks, Barber, and Alstott (I know Alstott will never get in but).
Larry Allen was a monster. He dominated everyone in front of him. He made some all-pro's look absolutely silly. Great speech from Parcells. You can see how his values can suck you in and make you a disciple. I think his biggest strength was that he always kept it real and you knew exactly where you stood with him.
I expected Parcells' speech to be more emotional for some reason. He was pretty much business as usual.
Yeah but that's what I like about him, no bullcrap. He's not a happy, feely guy. He's analytical, tactical. There's a reason for everything he does. I respect that in a leader.
I think the other way. His game coaching was out of touch. One of those scenarios where another guy had to get the most of of someone's talent Me, I wish he came a year earlier in 2002. I think that 2007 team would have went all the way if Parcells started building it one year earlier Sent from my HTC Vivid
Two first ballot Offensive Lineman. I hope this year makes it easier for OL to get in the HOF now Sent from my HTC Vivid
Glad to see some "Old-Timers" like Culp & Robinson in the mix. I've always had a soft spot for those guys that played the game back before it became the "No Fun L eague. To me, those guys played without all the big money endorsements and hype. They just went out every week and gave it their all. Like Parcells too, and as much as I hated Chris Carter ---- he deserves it.
