Bill Parcells mastered the franchise turnaround so well that he has become the latest coach to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A Super Bowl winner in the 1986 and 1990 seasons with the Giants, Parcells also took the Patriots from the bottom of the NFL to a Super Bowl, losing to Green Bay. He guided the Jets from 1-15 the season before he took over to 9-7 and then a 12-4 record and a loss in the AFC title game in 1998. He also helped the Cowboys regain some of their glory from 2003-06, becoming the first coach to lead four franchises to the playoffs. While he was a very good head coach, his talent evaluation left a lot to be desired. When it came time for the Cowboys to pick in the 2005 draft, Parcells wanted to take Shawne Merriman instead of DeMarcus Ware. Jerry overruled him, and the rest is history.
Yea that one pick really proves he was a crapty talent evaluator. No other great coach has ever made a mistake in the draft.
Ware was a workout worrier that actually worked out. Merriman was a cant miss edge rusher The Cowboys actually looked pretty dumb until Merriman got busted for roids
Curious....... What would you do as a memeber I think I am or was a long time ago. I know I was circa 2006
I was a member in 7th grade. Really messed up the Paris, France page while kids were doing their reports. Watched a lot of kids fail due to that lol
