49ers Trade WR A.J. Jenkins To The Chiefs For WR Jon Baldwin

The 49ers have traded receiver A.J. Jenkins to the Chiefs for receiver Jon Baldwin.

Both players fell out of favor with their previous teams. Baldwin had been beaten by Donnie Avery for the No. 2 receiver role in Kansas City while Jenkins failed to latch on to any role with the Niners in training camp.

In two years with the Chiefs Baldwin totaled 41 catches for 579 yards and two scores. Jenkins has yet to make a catch in a regular-season game.

good move for both teams....Baldwin has no business in andy reids offense. AJ Jenkins has no business in the NFL, so he might be like freddie Mitchell...lol

 

49ers win this one.

As a 49er fan I can only hope that Baldwin stops his "droppies", but he's like 6'4", so I'm hoping that he finds his hands and we don't have a DHB kinda player....

 

From what I've read so far, sounds like they both have some sort of issues between the ears. But I don't think we'll see Baldwin falling to the ground from very little contact like AJ did all the time. Hopefully, it works out in our favor

 

his main problem has not been drops, although it has been an issue. his main problem has been getting open. He really hasn't shown the quickness to beat coverages in the nfl.

both of these players were on the verge of being cut from their respective teams. maybe a change in scenery will help them.

 

both guys first round draft picks?

i dont see either of these guys being some major impact on their new teams

 

offensively baldwin is a much better fit with san fran...although hes a bit of a pr**k from what i hear. He has horrible run running skills but he can move down field and make acrobatic catches.

Jenkins was just a baffling first round selection

 

^^^Yeah, I thought the same thing when we drafted him...I didn't see him as a 49er at all.

 

For the moment ... No team better. No team worse.

 

from what I hear, he won't be able to be a pr**k at SF. Got some thumpers there that will get his mind right. I see it as a lose - lose for both teams. maybe the trade will wake up both players but I doubt it. But if I had to choose one to be a smidgen better deal I would have to say Baldwin. At least he did catch some balls.

 

I was questioning this pick last year. I thought they would of drafted hill or a te. But that's why they make the decisions. For every Jenkins there is a kaep.
