Kirk Gibson would like to have a private conversation with disgraced slugger Ryan Braun.

The Arizona Diamondbacks manager said Sunday that ''cheaters'' like Braun rob other players of opportunities for moments such as his pinch-hit home run during the ninth inning of Game 1 of the 1988 World Series for the Dodgers.

Braun accepted a 65-game suspension last month. The Milwaukee Brewers star apologized for ''mistakes'' but has yet to publicly admit to using performance-enhancing drugs.

''If I get a chance to see Braun, I've got a question for him right to his face, you know?'' Gibson said Sunday before a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The D-backs are still whining that they got robbed by the Brewers in the playoffs that year, as if Braun was the only reason that the Brewers won that series.

his words are true. cheaters like that do rob other players from getting their chance. But unfortunately, we don't really know how many players are juiced.

Seriously?? It's that Milwaukee's version of roid-boy getting caught and exposed is what embarrasses you and makes you point a finger elsewhere.

This^^. Is there any other major sport that is so driven by stats and records? When someone like Clemens, Sosa, McGwire, Bonds and now Braun erases records or wins awards in part because they shoved a needle in their butt or swallowed the right cocktail of Rx's, they're messing around with that which MLB covets the most.

Not at all. Im only saying that Braun didnt do it all on his own and that you win and lose as a team.
In that series at least, the Brewers were the better team and the D-Backs need to just deal with it, get over it and move on. Unless, of course, Braun somehow pulled a Tebow and played every position on the field at the same time. :icon_rolleyes:
