hate to be negative but am I seeing a mediocre season ahead or is it just pre-season and nothing to worry about?

 

I'd say the one thing killing us all pre-season long is penalties. That's not just something they will wake up and fix right when the season starts. Offensive line looks better tonight in pass protection, Ben is on fire, the receivers are good. We are missing Heath Miller bad, and I want a running back who will just hit the hole with explosiveness and quit hesitating (ie: Redman, Dwyer).

 

So Crowned you're saying that the jury is still out?

 

I'm leaning toward a better season than the 8-8 last year.

 

I think the defense will be typical Steelers D. I agree with you about the running back hitting the hole hard. I've missed the old Steeler running game. I am surprised at the mental errors I've been seeing. I am hoping for better than 8-8 but 10-6 might be best case scenario.

Problems with the special teams every week.

 

Moye really stating his case to be the 5th wide receiver this game.

 

Watching the game now...after the first quarter, a couple observations...

Offensive line still sporadic.
Ben is Ben...the TD pass to Dwyer was solid!!
Dwyer had a good first quarter...making a case for a roster spot.
Surprisingly...Ziggy Hood has a presence this week...lol...so far.
Polamalu looking like the Troy of old. Instead of Old Troy.

 

Did Felix play?

 

Through the second quarter:

-Pouncey looks off his game this preseason.
-AB looks in mid-season form.
-Cortez Allen looking solid in his first game of the preseason.
-Mike Adams...no comment.
-Alex Smith scrambles for 30+ yards and Willie Gay can't gain ANY ground in chase? Lol...
-Special Teams...ugh.
-How much will Troy get fined? Lit up Alex Smith.. [MENTION=521]Sweets[/MENTION] probably loved it...

 

He played a little from what I have watched so far. Couple carries and he's returning kicks.

 

Had a few carries with the first team, and a few more with the second team. Ran with authority hitting the hole fast and hard, no dancing.

 

- There's no way Batch makes this roster right?
- Beachum looked decent.
