Seneca Wallace is not retiring, but left the 49ers because he does not believe he fit into their plans this year, agent Don Yee told the Sacramento Bee. The story refutes a previous report that Wallace told Jim Harbaugh he is retiring. Harbaugh even commented, stating that he never tries to talk players out of retiring. Harbaugh said after the game Thursday night in San Diego that Wallace told him he's not "continuing playing football" which the coach interpreted to mean he's retiring. Not so, said Yee. "That is not my understanding," he said. "My understanding is that Seneca will continue his football career but there was discussion about his situation particularly with the 49ers." Wallace was signed last week to compete against former Cleveland teammate Colt McCoy for the backup job. But McCoy showed improvement in the third preseason game, prompting Harbaugh to name him the winner of that competition. Source: CBSSports

SO "don't fit in" and get cut. Then go somewhere where you do "fit in." Like with the losers in Oakland or Buffalo...no offense to the Raiders and Bills Fans...
