The NFL has sent a loud message to Ndamukong Suh about his extracurricular activities on the field. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported that NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks notified Suh on Tuesday that he has been fined $100,000 for his unnecessary roughness penalty in the Detroit Lions' 34-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Suh was flagged for a personal foul after he blindsided Vikings center John Sullivan with a hit to the knees. Sullivan, who underwent microfracture knee surgery in the offseason, avoided serious injury on the play, but said Monday that there needs to be "consequences when guys don't respect the careers of other players." NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Suh was likely to receive a "heavy" fine for the hit. Source: NFL.com
good. and the next time he does something, it should ramp up to $250k. eventually, this clown will be getting $1 million fines.
Its getting to a point he needs to be removed from the field. Passion or stupidity, doesn't matter. This guy wants to hurt someone. Fine him and make his butt set at home for a bit. If that doesn't work he should be put out permanently. The NFL talks a big game about safety, back it up. This butt hasn't learned anything the last three years. And I doubt he learns from this.
The league feels that he needs to stay on the field, for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
To the surprise of no one, Suh is appealing. I'm probably in the minority but that looked like a chop block to me. This clown is usually good for one or two dirty plays a year.
should have given him a 3 game suspension due to the number of times he has done this before.remember last year,he got fined for kicking matt schaub in the nuts and the year before he stomped on green bay's center's face too! Only way the league is gonna stop him is by suspending him cause money is like toilet paper to him.
he's had some other ones too. that's why these fines are escalating so quickly. not sure if this one deserves a suspension or not but maybe with his history it should.
I think he deserves to be suspended cause not matter what,he just keeps on doing it.remember,he has done really crazy crap off the field like run from cops, smack somebody around, and be involved with a few car wrecks.not letting him play the game he loves is about the only thing he'll understand,in my view.
i agree. the only thing that will somewhat change Suh is a new environment (new coaching) that changes his mindset. and, even at that, he will always be a ticking time bomb.
