The New Orleans Saints are awaiting a reply from the representatives of tight end Jimmy Graham regarding a new contract offer made by the team, according to a report by ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio. Entering the last year of his rookie deal, the former late third round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft has emerged as perhaps the league's best at his position. Graham, the top target in the New Orleans offense, will likely seek a contract in line line with the one New England's Rob Gronkowski signed in 2012. The contract Gronkowski inked was reportedly a $54 million deal including over $18 million guaranteed, the richest contract for a tight end in NFL history. Through three games this season, Grahan leads the unbeaten Saints in receptions (23), yards (358) and touchdown receptions (four). Source: SportsNOLA.com
If it is 18 million guaranteed that won't be too bad. Hope he meant what he said about not wanting to play for any other qb than Brees. But he is worth the money. I think Gronk is a better blocker but Hulk is a better receiver.
