Look in the Cowboys OL where C Travis Frederick is expected to take on SD's NT Cam Thomas. When the Cowboys played KC, Frederick was pushed around by KC NT Dontari Poe. If Frederick can't win the battle against Thomas on Sunday, the Cowboys running game is in trouble.
IMO, if they move it, it will be through the air, since they don't have a running game to speak of. The Over/Under for this game, I saw today, is 47. I'll take the over. Something like 28-24 Cowboys. I just hope the Cowboys don't start thinking about Peyton and the Broncos a week early.
i think the cowboys will be able to move the ball without question. the chargers run game is not totally anemic though. they should be able to establish at least a little bit of their running game, which could then open up their passing game more and make this game interesting. i agree that this game will probably be played in the 20's and maybe even get up in the 30's and should be competitive. it will be a fun game most likely.
well, the int return is the difference. otherwise, this is a pretty tight game. and, it's pretty embarassing for san diego that half the stadium is full of cowboys fans.
the chargers have more than moved the ball a little bit today. they are absolutely dominating the cowboys defense.
If they let Rivers pass for over 400 yards today, I can't imagine what Peyton's going to get next week.
i'm proud of you for actually putting forth a coherent and logical thought. this is progress, padawan. unexpected and welcome progress.
god **mn freaking Gates, I was in good shape until the long td, now I'm only up 12 with Colston to play for him
Random thoughts: This team lost because of dropped passes, mistakes, like the Leary penalty, and the Williams fumble near the goal line, and the Cowboys defense not being able to keep the Chargers offense off the field. Can we agree that Mo Claiborne is a bust? Why doesn't this team throw the ball deep, even once in a while? Just to give the opposing defense something to think about?
They have Dez...why the hell wouldn't you keep throwing to him?? Yeah, yeah he's double covered, he's HUGE, he can get open...GET OPEN..throw to him and throw to him often.
Agreed. He's a beast. Let him beast out! I'd also like to question the decision for Bailey to kick a FG from over 55 yards away. You don't give a QB like Rivers good field position if you miss. You just don't. Bailey missed and Rivers and SD set up shop near mid-field. Stupid!
Tony romo depends too much on witten an d locks in on him and won't look else where at times Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 2
Omen, Mo got burned at least 3 times yesterday. On 2 passes to Keenan Allen and 1 to Eddie Royal. I know he's hurt, but keep him on the bench until he's healed, because right now he's more of a liability than an asset.
This is true to an extent but I think more than anything, our offensive mediocrity has more to do with an entirely different mindset for Tony Romo than he's ever had before. There's a reason Romo has only one interception (and one that wasn't his fault in any conceivable way at that) in four games this season. The dude is becoming another Captain Checkdown. He doesn't have his killer instinct that can sometimes get him into trouble. He isn't even a little bit aggressive, and while they statline is much prettier with a 70% completion rate, it's hurting our offense tremendously, honestly.
