Unhappy with the recent performance by Adam Podlesh, the Chicago Bears put on a tryout for six punters Tuesday at Halas Hall, multiple sources told the Tribune.

Brian Moorman and Mat McBriar, who both kicked previously for special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis with the Dallas Cowboys, and former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe were the most experienced veterans involved in the tryout.

DaBears22's Take: Podlesh didn't kick good against the Lions but you can't place the failed coverage on the special teams squarely on his shoulders. How many missed tackles were there?

Agreed the coverage was crap but Podlesh hasn't impressed me at all.

They shouldn't be trying out to push him to get better, just push him out the door.

& while they're at it, they should be 'trying out' some STs coordinators to 'push' Joe DeCamillis in the same direction.
