Say so long to the NFL's pink penalty flags. (Try to keep it together, folks.) Source: NFL.com DaBears22's Take: It's for a good cause, and they will use the color on uniforms and such through Week 7.
There is a ton of scrutiny going on because nobody seems to be able to nail down where the money actually goes. Football is supposed to be an escape from real problems. The NFL may just be doing posturing to seem more caring than they actually are.
If they really wanted to draw attention to it, they should toss these as penalty flags. Penalty Boobs
LOL it doesn't really matter. I already knew it was a big number and just asked the question to be funny. But the fact is if they stopped watching. The NFL doesn't really lose any ground. besides, we all know a lot of the time women watch football to keep their boyfriends happy and make them think they are interested and after they get married they complain about you watching it LOL 73% of all men watch football = the league isn't worrying about being in the red financially. no one is mocking/knocking breast cancer awareness and they can think a little harder and make a penalty flag bordered in pink while the base is still yellow LOL
The first thing I told SRW when I saw the pink flags was, "Give me a freaking break already, as if there isn't enough pink everywhere on the field" it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, great we get it but the color pink on a pro football field does NOTHING to combat the cancer itself. I love that the NFL is hopefully bringing in money for research but pink shoes, pink wrist bands, pink towels, pink ribbon on their helmets heck even the line where to place the football was pink, I love the color but GIVE IT A REST NFL...ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!...keep the flags yellow, damn people....really????
