Owners Pass "Hard Knocks' Rule At NFL Fall Meeting

The greatest sports-related program in television history just received assurance from the NFL that it will continue to air the show even if no team is interested in subjecting itself to the national spotlight.

A source in the room told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport the league passed a rule Tuesday during the NFL Fall Meeting that will compel one team per year to participate in the HBO/NFL Films joint venture, "Hard Knocks."

Sportsguy's Take: I was really never a fan of hard knocks so i really have no interest

 

I want to see a camera following Belichick around. He would be furious after the first 30 minutes.

 

I'd rather the Eagles not be shown.

 

I think it would be cool of the pats got it. But it would probably be very boring.

 

I did get a kick out of James Harrison screwing with them so much this year

 

I've never really watched it but wouldn't care much either way. But FREAK "compelling" teams to do it

 

It's dumb IMO to "force" teams to do it.

 

I'd be very interested in the bears on hard knocks.

 

The Pats would end up having more film of HBO than the other way around...

I say no thanks to the Bears being on Hard Knocks.

 

I figured it would come to this. No teams want to do it. Its a distraction

 

Two questions:

• Where's the NFLPA? How about the players being terminated on TV?

• Why wasn't the discussion about Hard Knocks at the owners meeting put on TV? Let's see these owners meetings on TV.

 

Ouch. Very ouch.

 

If I happen to turn it on, I end up watching the whole show. I find it fascinating watching what goes on behind the scenes.

 

Next season has Steelers written ALL over it...

 

Not if Tomlin gets fired.

 

Would just add to more of the plot if he did.
