Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather has been fined multiple times in the past for illegal hits. But Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall thinks the NFL needs to do more.

During the second half of the Redskins' 45-41 win, Meriweather put shots on both Marshall and Alshon Jeffery that were flagged for illegal contact to the head of a defenseless receiver.

ICECOLD's Take: The league is champing at the bit to go after repeat offenders. I'm sure Meriweather will have a letter in his locker

I saw a quote last night posted on facebook of Meriweather saying he is doing what the NFL is asking of him. Uh, the NFL is asking you to deliver helment to helment hits everytime you try and tackle someone? So Meriweather has no regard for the rules of the game but also is not taking responsibility for his actions either. I don't blame Brandon Marshall for saying what he said.

Meriweather and his history says he should be gone for 3-5 games.

I heard the NFL is talking about suspending Meriweather for only 1 or 2 games which I don't think is enough.

probably should, but the players appeal board would raise holy hell over it.

The way this butthole squares up & launches at receivers heads is indefensible.

Aughta make him play MLB for 4 games. Players will fine him...

Well said. Pitchers have their own way of delivering justice once you enter the batter's box.

Well, the appeal board lowered it to only 1 game. Who sits on the appeal board? Please don't tell me its the same ex-nfl players that just sued the league for not doing enough to protect them.
