The Minnesota Vikings made a bold organizational decision when they were sitting at 1-3. They decided to bet the rest of their season on Josh Freeman. That decision might wind up costing a lot of people their jobs.

ICECOLD's Take: Freeman threw 53 times and AP ran 13 times... that's all you need to determine the outcome of this game

that sounds like an awful game plan, not really josh freeman's fault. dude doesn't know the system entirely or have the chemistry, why the heck would he throw over 50 times?

All kidding aside, this game should be the poster child of how not to conduct the business of football in the NFL.. Possibly the worst display of executing the fundamentals of a game plan in the history of the NFL.

Blame to go around for everyone here, but at the end of the day, Leslie Frazier is ultimately responsible for that travesty that occurred on national TV. If anyone in that organization thought that they were going to catch lightening in a bottle just because Freeman showed up, put on a purple uniform and all was going to be good, should be fired from their respective position. Just the worst football game that I have ever seen in my life.

Sorry, Aussie61 that you have to wear that teams placard until they win one and redeem themselves.

Running Peterson 13 times is just a dumb game plan...any day.

I couldn't watch the game, but when I was driving home and was listening to the results on the radio and heard he threw it 53 times, I was completely dumbfounded. They probably made the Jags look like they know what they're doing

It's bad that Freeman threw 53 times.. Adrian ran 13 times only, and they still weren't really out of the game. The headline that Freeman starting "cost the team" what exactly did it cost them? They've only won a game... What they were doing wasn't working. Why not try something different? Although I don't agree with the way that they went about trying. AP needs at least 20+ touches. Freeman shouldn't go over 30. If weren't for the two fumbles on special teams, it may have been a one score game still, lol.

no offense to the Vikes and Giants fans but that was the worst game I have ever saw. And I have seen some horrible games. But I am glad that the Giants got their first game.

Because we have a dumbheck for an OC :new_cussing:
Against the browns who have a decent run defence we run and don't pbutt.Against the Giants who have a poor run defence we pass with a QB who is new to the system and leave the reigning MVP pulling splinters out his butt on the bench! Only Bill Musgrave could come up with this convulated cluster heck of a game plan.

Vikings fans ask this same question every week! This coaching staff is clueless about in game adjustments. They think an adjustment is something you get when your car doesn't run right.

On behalf of the Vikings organisation please accept my most humble apology for the crap that was dished up on MNF.I have been forced to give this apology because no one within the Vikings organisation has enough balls to man up and say it.The owner says he is "sticking with his guys" the HC says "I will have to look at the film and evaluate " the GM says nothing. They should say "we hecked up by throwing Josh Freeman under a bus and expecting him to perform at a high level" they should say "our OC is a dumbass and as soon as Mike Mularkey signs a contract we will announce a new OC so that next time we play we will have a solid offensive game plan, and a guy who knows how to win" they should say "our HC needs to stop looking at film and see the problems that's right in front of him.If 300 million viewers around the world can see it,then an NFL HC should see it"
Sportsguy needs to frame a market on if the Vikings or Jaguars pick first next May.I'll take the Vikings.

On paper it appears the Vikes have the personnel (with the question mark at QB) so why they should be crapting the bed this badly is amazing. Have to agree with aussie...the coaching staff needs a little attitudinal adjustment.
BTW....The Vikings make me feel good about being a Cards fans right now.

At 3-4 you should feel good markaz. Most Vikings fans would give their left testicle to have 3 wins!
Zygi Wilf had a perfect opportunity to give the coaches something to think about, but all he came up with was "I'm sticking with my guys" WTF Zygi, don't you wanna win?
