NFL statistics can be contorted to prove any desired point, but in Sunday's historic performance against the Dallas Cowboys, numbers underscored the dominance of Calvin Johnson.

His 329 receiving yards -- second-most in NFL history and most ever in a non-overtime game -- define how dominant Megatron was Sunday.

markaz's Take: This game merely provided an exclamation point on why Calvin Johnson is currently the best WR on the planet. Doesn't hurt to have a QB that can deliver the ball to such a talent as well.

There's not many players I think more highly of than Rice, but I have to admit it's getting to the point where that's a legitimate argument. It, as always, depends on the particular definition of "better", but he's certainly more physically dominant than Rice ever was. For as hard as Jerry worked and as naturally talented he was, he never was and never could be 6'5" with 4.3 speed.

jerry jones has apparently come out to say deion sanders could have covered him on sunday.

haha. he completely just dissed his own guy Brandon Carr.

Deion was maybe the best guy in history on punt returns, but he is given too much credit as a cb.he got into the HOF because of his return skills, not his DB skills.

Agreed. Deion was an awesome cover guy. He was human and i remember certain match ups making him look average but for the most part, he was a very good cover corner (never supported the run game so was just a cover guy)

Deion could cover and had great ball skills. Couldn't tackle worth a crap, but he could cover.

Not sure he could've covered Johnson on Sunday and really not sure why Jones would make that comment and why he would even think it was relevant...
