It's that special time of year again -- flex time. The NFL announced Friday that it's moving the Week 11 tilt between the Kansas City Chiefs and hometown Denver Broncos from 4:05 p.m. ET into the prized "Sunday Night Football" slot at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Source: NFL.com ICECOLD's Take: Out with Packers and Giants. In with the Chiefs and Broncos. This will definitely be a game more people will want to see based on where both teams are at now.
I would agree except for those that made these plans from out of state, and now it complicates so much for them.
weird. i had heard a couple of weeks ago that CBS had protected both of the upcoming chiefs v broncos games so they couldn't be flexed. Maybe some money changed hands ...........
the chiefs defense matches up with the broncos offense about as well as anyone could. they have a couple of big corners in cooper and smith that can match up with demariyus and decker. flowers can handle welker. eric berry will control the TE Thomas. Poe, Hali, and Houston should be able to abuse a suspect broncos o-line and keep consistent pressure on peyton. the problem the chiefs are going to have is that the broncos main vulnerability on defense (mid- to long-range pass routes) is something they aren't good at. i could see the chiefs defense forcing punts/limiting drives to fg's in the first half and making the broncos look human, but i think eventually the broncos will just get too many opportunities in the game because the chiefs won't be able to consistently move the ball on offense. It could be 6-0 at half and end up being a 34-3 final score or something like that just because the broncos will end up with too many opportunities.
