A day after the 49ers’ wide receiving corps was bolstered by the return of Mario Manningham, Michael Crabtree has been cleared to practice five-and-a-half months after he sustained a completely torn Achilles. Crabtree, who became the first 49ers’ pass-catcher since 2003 to collect 1,000 receiving yards last year, could be added to 53-man roster at any time before Nov. 26. This offense is getting two key receivers back for the stretch run, plus the Seahawks are not exactly setting the world on fire. This will be an interesting second half in the NFC West, and players like Crabtree coming back make the 49ers my favorites for the NFC West champs.
It'll still be a couple weeks before he gets in a game most likely, but damn if this isn't exciting for fans and the team
