IF Rodgers was playing, this game would be a blowout but since he's not, I see this being a close game.
Defense has given up 21 points or less the last five games. Seems like they've started figuring it out a bit. I hate assuming we should win a game, but this one seems like we should have it in the bag.
well, we pretty much know what to expect out of the packers. they are fairly consistent on a weekly basis and we can figure a drop in passing efficiency with seneca under center. the eagles are the wild card here. they are one of the jekyll and hyde teams in this league where you don't know what you're going to get from them from week to week. The Eagles defense has shown some consistency and, as you mention, has slowly been getting better as the season goes along. However, their offense is very erratic. some weeks it looks as good as the broncos and some weeks it looks as bad as the jaguars.
Should be a great game and it really depends how Wallace plays. I could see either team winning this game. Do Wallace play well enough and the Packers ride their defense and run game to a win? Is Foles for real? After last week, will Foles have a big head and think that he can force passes into tight coverage, throwing a few picks and costing his team the game? IMO, key for the Packers is keeping Foles on the sideline and dominating time of possession because the Eagles defense isnt great. The fan in me says the Packers will find a way to get it done but the realist in me thinks the Eagles will sell out to defend the run, force the Packers to put it on Wallace to win the game and he simply wont be able to get it done. Should be a good game. Go Pack go.
The point spread has dropped in this game by 8 points. It was Packers by 9 before the severity of Rodgers's injury was known. It's now Packers by 1.
the line on this one is now Eagles -1 so it's a 10 point swing for the packers with and without rodgers. that's funny.
Bradley Fletcher is out. Big blow to the Eagles secondary as he's been playing really well lately. They have zero CB depth behind him. Thank God Rodgers is out. He would have toyed with whomever replaces him.
And Brad Jones is 'hurt'. So freaking sick of seeing opposing teams fake injuries to give their defenses a breather.
