Saints showed some vulnerabilities last week, and Dallas is figuring out how to win ball games

Ware may be back for this one, so the Cowboys may have a chance.

i think the saints match up well with the cowboys, especially if the cowboys coaches once again refuse to establish the run.

Unless we get pressure on Breese this will be an ugly game for the Cowboys.

Agreed with the pressure on Brees. Carr is going to have to shut down their TE, Graham, as well. Hope he has better luck with that than he did trying to shut down Megatron.

One good thing, Graham isn't nearly as fast as Megatron. (just trying to be glass half full) :p

graham is about 8 inches taller than Carr. graham will pwn carr all day if they ask carr to cover graham one on one. that's not even fair to Carr. he should be covering 6'3" or shorter wide receivers and guys like megatron and graham should be getting covered by cornerbacks that are at least 6'2" or 6'3", somewhat closer to their own height. or, at the very least, there should be bracket coverage all the time on graham to help the short cornerback.

with these receivers and TE's seemingly getting taller and taller, teams need to adjust and counter with taller cb's. a cb that is a few inches shorter can make up for it with a good vertical, good instincts, etc.

but, 7 or 8 inches? that's unreasonable. at that point, the qb just has to throw it up for grabs because he knows the cb has not shot of out-jumping his receiver.

According to Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan this morning, there are a couple of injury situations that the Cowboys are quietly concerned about.

    1. The first is Jason Hatcher. He's had what was thought to be a shoulder stinger. However, Fisher thinks it's worse than that. Hatcher can't feel his arm.

    2. Dez has had problems with his back in the past. Yesterday, he didn't even go to practice. Fisher said this morning that if he had to do it, Dez couldn't have even ironed his shirt. The Cowboys are quietly concerned that Dez might have a bulging disc problem.

    Stay tuned.

I am starting to like playing Dallas often. I hope Coach learns his lesson soon and gets that freaking running game going. Prime time game in the Dome, hard for teams to beat us there.

Did you see the Patriots play the Saints? They assigned Aqib Talib to cover Graham. Brees threw three times to Graham with Talib covering him. Graham didn't catch a pass against Talib. Talib left the game with an injury. Graham didn't catch a pass against Talib's substitute, Kyle Arrington. You have to cover Graham with your biggest, most physical CB. That's Carr.

Did'nt dallas beat the saints at home when the saints won the superbowl? maybe it was a few years back, but dallas gave them their 1st defeat of the season there.

I agree carr may be the cowboys biggest and most physical cb but that still doesn't mean he is a good match up for Graham. the cowboys have a bunch of midgets in their secondary and carr is one of them. Talib is a couple of inches taller and has a better vertical. Carr plays very low. He is better suited covering a shorter guy. The cowboys need someone with some height in their secondary for these match ups and they just don't

we have big matchup problems with Graham. I just don't think the Cowboys win this game. We have too many injuries to keep up with the Saints. Looks like Dez is banged up (back) Clayborn is out, Hatcher might be out.. Just looking bleak for the Boys. :(

IMO, I think you're splitting hairs. According to NFL.com, Talib is only one inch taller than Carr, and there is only one pound difference in their weight.

Ok, even if he is only an inch taller, just watching them play, i can tell you Talib has longer arms and a better vertical jump by at least a few inches and that 4 inches of vertical ability can/will make all the difference In the world In containing a guy like Graham.

Graham probably has a playing height close to 10'. Carrs is probably less than 9'. Go stand next to someone who is a foot taller than you and just as athletic and tell me you think you could prevent him from catching passes from an accurate passer. You would realize you had no chance.

Next, stand next to a guy that is 7 or 8 inches taller. You will have a much better feeling about at least being able to hang. 4 or 5 inches makes a huge difference.

if the cowboys can figure out a way to win this one, i will be very impressed and it may catapult them to a good season.
