Richie Incognito, the suspended Miami Dolphins offensive lineman who allegedly bullied teammate Jonathan Martin, is expected to soon file a grievance against the team, reports FOXSports1′s Alex Marvez. Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the team and stands to lose his weekly salary of $235,294.12. Source: Sports Illustrated SteveRobWhatever's Take: Incognito has had his teammates backing him up in the press all this week, despite the fact the team has told the players to stay quiet. Incognito might have a case if the entire squad is supporting him. This is a labor issue, and the work force so far has publicly supported him. This story is going to take some interesting twists and turns.
This story is really just crazy from the start. I can't remember any story that was anything like this.
Correct. No ads on the phone Back to the story.... From the info i have been given thus far, i would do this too if i were richie
Even for as much as I think that Incognito is completely at fault in this matter, he has every right to go after the money. And I agree....based on the information that we've been spoon fed, there isn't any reason that he shouldn't get it. I'd definitely go after it. Hell, if Goodell & Co. can arbitrarily take my $ well after the fact because of some hit that didn't even get a penalty, I'm gonna get what my contract and the CBA allows.
Yep... There appears to be fault at every level in this mess & degree of fault doesn't make for victims. The rules of the game would allow Incognito to do exactly this & no reason he shouldn't IMO either.
It's being reported now that Incognito would hold the OLine meetings at strip clubs and if a player didn't show, they'd be fined.
I Bet the dolphins offer both guys a decent sum of money to not sue them or file any more legal moves and then they cut them both.
:icon_confused: Depends on how involved in it he was.If he ordered it,he may be suspended like sean payton was, remember, whatever happens to him,he can't appeal it to anybody just has to take it like payton and the other front office guys from new orleans last year.
Philbin's on record as saying he had no prior knowledge. Really, any situation where it can be proven that Philbin knew about it and did nothing is a bad scenario for him. That said, I'm no attorney and it's all speculation on my part.
I'd be surprised if they kept either Incognito or Martin. I don't see how they can after everything that's been brought up. And, if the NFL can prove Philbin had prior knowledge of what was going on, he's gone too.
I Am not a lawyer either, but i am just going on what happened to payton when he was suspended last year. they proved payton knew and then lied, and sat him down a year.
