Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was forced out of Sunday's game against the Lions in Week 10 with an ankle injury. Cutler appeared to have re-aggravated his groin injury and had a swollen left hand throughout the game, although he was officially ruled out by the team with an ankle injury. Source: CBS Sports SteveRobWhatever's Take: McCown came in and almost led the Bears to the comeback win. Cutler looked like he was playing hurt all day and really seemed ineffective from the injuries. They should have pulled the plug on his much sooner.
Cutler has proven the last few years that he's a Helluva competitor that pushes to be out there. This one is on the coaches for not having the foresight to think of the time of year & circumstances. McCown has been in a rhythm with this offense along with his unfettered mobility & was the sound choice with Cutler in the wings if things were going South. After all the good things this staff has done, at least on offense, this time they dropped the ball.
LOL...love it. Considering all the Bear fans who were laughing about Rodgers being out, Id call it karma.
The majority of Pack fans, whether from reading or knowing, have laughed for years at the Bears futility at QB & I find it more than amusing that they respond so harshly at any laughing at the Pack's woes now...& woes they are. They've earned it & should take their medicine like a man...
I agree, we have laughed at what a joke the Bears are, part of its the rivalry and part of its that the Bears win a couple games and want to talk about winning another Super Bowl. The Packers do have their woes right now but the thing is that soon Rodgers will be back and even if they miss the playoffs this year, they will be a favorite again next year, whereas the Bears will once again be a joke and the only people who will seriously see them as a Super Bowl contender will be the people in the Chicagoland area. :icon_cool:
Thanks for validating my post. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqDJXNJ-yPw]Baby taking medicine...too cute! - YouTube[/ame] C'mon now, it's good for you...
LOL...You guys have had karma coming for 3 years. If you don't know what i'm talking about, just look at Cutler's injury past with NO MERCY from your fellow fans. Theres no way dancing around that. So I consider last Monday night even. :icon_rolleyes:
I thought Cutler actually looked good in the 1st half yesterday, granted he did he did get beat up a lot yesterday. I thought he should have been taken out very early in the 2nd half though. Oh well, there will always be one idiot that will question Cutler's toughness if he got pulled much earlier and will change their tune of why Trestman left him in too long. I won't be shocked if Cutler was in Trestman's ear to stay in the game.
