Veteran safety Ed Reed said the Texans were "outplayed and outcoached" in their 27-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the team's seventh straight defeat. "You watching the game and it ain't (a) no-brainer," he said, per the Houston Chronicle. "Certain situations, it's like we got to get off the field. We need a three-and-out. But you've also got to come on as an offense and move the ball. You can't go three-and-out and put your defense back on the field that quick. And then that (last scoring drive) that they had, I'm looking at it like guys are a little fatigued. Eventually they're going to figure out what you're doing if you're doing the same old things." But the rest of the coaching staff was on the sideline and the concerns about the entire staff by the front office are proving more true than gossip or rumor.
how much did reed even play yesterday? i have a problem with a guy standing on the sideline and then saying things like this about his team.
Not much. Didn't start and then was knocked out of the game with a possible concussion when he did play. One does have to wonder about a possible motive in Reed's comments after officially being demoted a couple of weeks ago. Could be more or less some bandwagoning after the FO came out and said they were concerned over the entire staff.
apparently i was not the only one that had a problem with what reed said. reports are surfacing that he will be released.
He may have been completely accurate in his comments, but should have kept his mouth shut. For going public with his negative opinion he deserves to be released.
