Former Bears, Cowboys WR Sam Hurd Gets 15 Year Prison Sentence

    A federal judge sentenced former Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd to 15 years in prison Wednesday on a drug-trafficking conviction.

    The former Northern Illinois player pleaded guilty in April to conspiring to possess and distribute cocaine and marijuana, just days before his trial was set to begin.

    ICECOLD's Take: He's fortunate not to get a longer sentence based on what the prosecution was going for and what he had said on recordings.

    Well he pleaded guilty so I assume he made some sort of deal.

    I don't think I'd have a problem with these "deals" if parole was taken off the table. Have fun, Sam.
