With six weeks remaining in the regular season, the Saints picked up a victory over the 49ers on Sunday that could have playoff seeding implications.

Garrett Hartley's 31-yard field goal as time expired gave New Orleans a 23-20 victory at the Superdome, where the 49ers’ Super Bowl run of last season ended with a loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: The 49ers defense played a good game but their effort was wasted in the end. The Saints were able to bottle up Kaepernick just enough to not let him get in a consistent groove all day. The 49ers now find themselves in a tie for second place with the Cardinals. Who would have thunk it?

I Hate the 49ers,but that personal foul called against breese that let the saints tie up the game was bullcrap! no way was that a head to head or PF call!
Kapernick, just like rg3 is having an awful season which means a lot of guys in the nfl watched the run pass option and figured out how to put a good effort into stopping it!

hold on a second ............. it's way too early to bury the niners. they have lost to 4 good teams and most of the teams they've beaten are average or poor. fortunately for the niners, 5 of their last 6 games are against average or poor teams so they will pile up some more wins.

i say the niners still end up with double digit wins.
