So there are four options... Default, GIF Color Scheme, GIF Color Scheme Dark and GIF Color Scheme Darker.
Is there a way to embed tweets? I'm not sure if Xenforo uses BBcodes like phpbb3 does, if it does I can pass along the tweet bbcode I use.
What is this embed tweet you speak of? Is it similar to what @86WARD asked for on the old site? I think he knows of a couple sites that use a modification, maybe one is a XenForo site.
After the upgrade you did with the vBulletin (@SteveRobWhatever) that mod was working on the old site. I would love to see that as well. Looks really good.
@86WARD, what is the new ownership's take on using add-ons? Are they for/against it? And if they are for it, do you have admin panel access to install addons? Some might also require access for you to be able to read/write/edit/delete in the server.
So far we are looking for the following mods: Twitter Media Mod to extend the Avatar box for members with longer names Last Poster Avatar instead of thread creator @Kurt - Any idea of any of these would be possible?
@SteveRobWhatever There is definitely a spot for add-ons. I don't know how to do it myself but would be willing to try it if someone showed me how.
Well first you have to find the modifications you want to use, then download them. Some aren't free. Once they are downloaded it's usually as simple as uploading an xml file on the site's admin panel or it could involve an upload of an xml file and a directory of files to the site's main server. It really all depends on the modification. Most have instructions you can read. Here's the place to find modifications for this forum software: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/ Also, custom coding is an option. The only thing that limits you is your imagination and your budget. With PHP you pretty much can come up with whatever you want to show where and how.
If you paste the twitter URL it will embed the tweet Ill mod the CSS to expand that... I'll also look into that.
Also, I don't like adding modifications to websites via extensions. If it's not a part of the core software then it's got to be freaking major important to add it. This is because add ons can lose support, create back doors, slow down your site etc
