They do it in football too. Emmitt Smith signed a 1-day contract to retire as a Cowboy in 2005.

I was certain Peyton signed a 3-year deal in 2012, with the final year being void if he didn't pass the neck physical exam (which he did earlier this month).

I agree he has 2 or 3 more years in him, but maybe if the Broncos fall short again, he'll look for another team that is one QB away from being a contender, or just retire already.

My dynasty league team's backfield got a bit of a bump up with Gerhart going to the Jags. I don't have high hopes, but it's nice when a handcuff (AD) turns into a potential starter.

I'd rather have him than another ex redskin, carlos rogers.
One can't help but like what the pats, browns and bucs have done so far.as a redskins fan i will tell you that you do not get anything for winning the offseason.

Me too, but I'm not surprised. I'd like Hatcher to stay, but I doubt the Cowboys will pay what he and his agent want. He's visited with the Seahawks, and is supposed to visit the Raiders next.

BTW, I hear Marinelli is talking to Jerry big time about keeping Hatcher here.
