Word is we were negotiationing with both Hatcher and Melton. With Hatcher now off the market I expect Melton to be a Cowboy in the next day

 

If you mean signing players that dallas has to release cause they can't manage the salary cap,i agree.

We didnt release him. We just arent going to pay a 32 year old player that was a backup 70% of his career 7 million a year off of 1 good season.

And he had that one good season as a 3 Tech in a 4-3. He is going back to a 3-4, so you guys basicly are paying 7 million a year for Marcus Spears backup

For less then what they paid Hatcher they could have gotten Linvel Joseph, a much better fit in a 3-4. In Hatcher they basicly spent 7 million a year on a lesser version of Stephan Bowen, and they guy we settle on retaining after Bowen left. He is a bigger name player right now because of what he did in a 4-3 scheme, but going back to a 3-4 him and Bowen are redundant and neither is really a strong side player.

This is basically just the Skins signing a guy because he was a Pro Bowler. Really isnt going to improve them much

 

I'm also hearing that the Redskins are going after Spencer, too.

 

Not for nothing but....isn't it like day three already? So what can I expect from Al Woods with the new scheme on D? Steeler fans? Comment?

Maybe maybe not about Melton. He's being sued for a million dollars in conjunction with a bar fight that happened in Grapevine, near Dallas. The one who is suing says that Melton bit him in the kidney area during the fight. Google Image Henry Melton mug shot and you can see his face is all bloodied up. This altercation happened in December.
