We play a keeper league, so two players can be kept from last years team at two rounds of value earlier. So for me I am keeping C.Patterson and L.Bell who will cost me a 9th and 10th rounder. That's the good. Here's the question: I think Charles, McCoy will be gone and it's safe to say Megatron as well. I pick second and possibilities there is one of Rodgers, Brees, Manning there. Top RB's Forte, AP, then Dez Bryant, D. Thomas, and other receivers I think are a hair lower in value.
Anyone is welcome to give me there top two choices and reasons. Thanks

Hey I got a question. If you pick second how is it possible that Charles, McCoy and Megatron are gone!? Where they all picked in the 2nd round last year?

Anyway if they are gone for me it is easy you go AP.

When you say gone, do you mean these players will be kept?

    I know what you're saying...

I'd go with Forte or AP - both should catch a fair amount of ball and should provide you with consistent fantasy points every single week plus the upside that they really could finish top 3 at their position... you can ask for much more with your first pick.

I would not go QB unless you think you'll be stuck with a crap QB such as Eli or Flacco - thats your call. But if you can wait until round 3 (Brees Rodgers, Manning) or even after round 5 to go QB, do it! Post RNd5 guys have plenty of upside.. In no particular order: Romo, Ryan, Stafford, Cutler, RG3 = great value + upside. check ADP on your cheat and pay attention to who needs QB each round.. go to estimate how long to wait =)

Yes gone means kept. And the players I mention will hopefully be there yet. Draft next Saturday. Thanks Kurt.

Because this is a PPR, I agree with Forte first. But I have to disagree with Kurt about AP, even though I understand why he picked him due to his new offense and his rushing yards. However, AP has never caught more than 40 passes in his career. They could say they'll give him more passing down work, but will it come to fruition? Plus he's only played one full season in 1 out of the last 4 years. Chances are AP could see more catches then ever, but there is still some doubt in my mind.

If you look at Bryant and Thomas, you're guaranteed close to 100 receptions by both.

Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong either way.

    Bell, AP, Patterson
    Bell, Bryant/Thomas, Patterson

To me the second one looks a bit better only because you have yourself a borderline RB1 already. If you pass and take AP, the value for receiver will drop significantly due to keepers by the time it gets back to you. And since this is a PPR league, that hurts a bit more. At least if you go receiver, you afford yourself the luxury of taking the best RB/WR left when it gets back to you in the second.

If you take AP (if Forte is gone), you'll have to hope another WR1 comes back because Patterson is, at best, a low-end WR2 for now.

Of course the combo of Bell's and AD's rushing yards could make up for the loss of a true WR1.

Thanks. The scenario changed but I'll do a new post for it.
