There were lots of great keepers in our league so here it my draft. Dez Bryant Alshon Jeffery Shane Vereen Julian Edelman Joique Bell Matt Ryan Emmanuel Sanders Jeremy Hill (a bit early but here are my two keepers in the next two rounds so I had no pick) Le'Veon Bell- keeper Cordarrelle Patterson - keeper Tony Romo (took him because there was a guy with no QB yet, a bunch of us took a 2nd QB and he got stuck with McNown) Zach Ertz - No TE required but best available at the time (flex if needed) Devonta Freeman Markus Wheaton KC-DEF I didn't draft a kicker so I'll need to drop someone eventually, I am willing to pick up any Defense too if you have thoughts on week one matchups.
Nice haul. Matchup game with Ryan and Romo will lead to a big year I believe, and you have some good PPR backs and receivers.
You will use Ertz at flex a lot this year. As to whom to drop, it looks like either Wheaton or Freeman for a kicker. No one else is worth dropping. Stick with KC
Didn't expect that reply. Thanks. I like Wheaton and Freeman, hard to decide (I have L.Bell (PIT) and Matt Ryan (ATL). In depth thoughts?
I'd drop Freeman or Wheaton. As a Steelers fan, it's been since the Holmes and Ward days that we had two fantasy relevant WR's, I believe 09 was the most recent two 1000 yard WRs. I'm waiting until it's proven we will support two WR's to take anyone other than Antonio Brown, and don't get me started on Haley. Anyways, Leveon and Brown have the most value on this team for fantasy purposes.
Considering Jackson's soft tissue problems, Freeman does have upside. I'd listen to a Steelers fan who knows their offense. Not to mention you have 5 receivers you will use before Wheaton even makes it to your starting lineup. You have better receiver depth
Thanks again. PS..don't go yet but if you see D. Harris (RB) of the Packers start getting 10 touches/game, add him to your bench spots. He could be more of a Sproles role...just my local thought
Any league members who like to trade? Id personally explore a 2 for 1 deal with someone in order to open up the roster spot before Id drop talent onto waivers and let the competition improve for free. Freeman's going to be getting a lot of playing time as the season goes, whether by injury or ineffective play, its an inevitability to me. A really open path to a lot of work, and he's talented enough to make it happen...I'll be shocked if he isnt the unquestioned #1 back in ATL by fantasy playoff time. Hills not likely to be a starting or consistently productive RB under any circumstances short of injury, and even then he's nothing that special IMO. Bernards a huge talent on the rise, Hill might get some goalline work but I doubt its enough to make him more than rarely fantasy-relevant. I see Freeman as being far more talented and in a better position to take advantage of it. But yeah, try a trade first. Youre losing a player regardless, might as well try to upgrade yourself somewhere, turn a total minus situation into a plus for you. Its a pretty deep team too, you can afford it even though you might not need it. Thats probably going to be a heckofa team regardless. Maybe QB? Ryan or Romo and x to one of the QB starved teams? Treat yoself!
Okay, I think I'll target Kendall Wright or Vernon Davis. For Romo or Ryan and Jeremy Hill (or E. Sanders, Wheaton). Thoughts?
I think I'd pass on a trade altogether. You have 6 pass catchers. And Ertz is a nice backend TE1. I'd rather wait and see who pops up on the waiver wire in the first few weeks.
That was my thought. No body needs a QB except one guy in our league. I also don't think he'd trade away Ellington as that was his second pick. He also has Forte and AJ Green that he'd never trade. Otherwise no targets. I'll plan to drop Wheaton for a kicker
