Time is rapidly approaching for the beginning of the playoffs. The slate of Wild Card games are:

    Saturday, Jan. 3
NFC: 4:35 p.m. (ET) Arizona at Carolina (ESPN)

AFC: 8:15 p.m. (ET) Baltimore at Pittsburgh (NBC)

    Sunday, Jan. 4
AFC: 1:05 p.m. (ET) Cincinnati at Indianapolis (CBS)

NFC: 4:40 p.m. (ET) Detroit at Dallas (FOX)

Game(s) of interest? Who do you see moving into the 2nd round? Let's hear it.......

The only game I have a strong rooting interest is the Lions over the Cowboys. I expect the Cowboys to win though.

Ravens-Steelers games are always fun to watch.

Hopefully we will have some interesting games and no blowouts.

All 4 home teams are favored. My guess is the 2 teams most likely to pull the upset are the Ravens and Bengals but it also wouldn't shock me if the Lions or Cardinals manage to win.

I don't have that deep seeded hatred that division rivals have so I'll give it up for the 'Boys. With Suh's latest 'ooooppps', I hope Murray runs amok and accidentally sticks his 'cleats' through Suh's face mask.

And of course I want my Birds to win, but not expecting it. (Cowboys' fans know what it's like to have your starting QB out and have the likes of a Brandon Weeden shirt the bed against the Cards). It's tough to sit there and watch your 3rd and 4th string QB's and 3rd string RB and think "what could have been". I'm just hoping for a "Miracle on Ice"-type game. Also could be the last game we'll see Larry Fitzgerald in a Cards' uniform. If it is I'll be a Jaguars fan next season.

Rooting for Zona to beat Carolina - they shouldn't be in the playoffs.

Bengals to beat Indy and Steelers to over Ravens.

And of course Dallas over lions

Arizona at Carolina - Carolina...they may need only 7-10 points to win this one.
Baltimore at Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh...as long as Bell is the 100% he says he is.
Cincinnati at Indy - Cincinnati...just get that feeling of an upset
Detroit at Dallas - Dallas...they're clicking on all cylinders at the right time.

    Stats for Detroit @ Dallas:

    1. Lions QB Matthew Stafford is 0-17 in his career on the road playing against a team with a winning record.

    2. The Lions have not won a playoff game on the road since 1957.

You bring up a great point that they are due.

You subscribe to the "due" theory? I don't.

I honestly don't, but I also don't subscribe to the theory that the past equals what will happen in the present like you seem to.

I agree that No. 1 has meaning. Stafford has a track record of only being able to beat inferior teams on the road. That is an alarming statistic.

How does No.2 have any relevance when the current Lions' player weren't even born or in diapers in 1980?

How about these statistics....Since 1996 the Cowboys have a 1-7 playoff record and the Lions' last playoff win was in 1991 against the Cowboys.

Hijacked your posts and put them in a more suitable thread.

For the playoffs I'd give Ben the nod given the number of playoff wins (10) under his belt and those two rings on his fingers against Romo's one (1) playoff win. But I'm hoping Romo has the game of his life against Suh, er, the Lions. The stage is now set for a Steelers/Cowboys Super Bowl.

The Steelers are in BIG trouble without Bell.
