The "I Just Watched This Movie" Thread.

If I feel the same way when I watch it, that will be very disappointing. IMO one of the greatest war movies ever, Letter From Iwo Jima was an Eastwood movie, and Id expect better from him

 

Watched Iron Man 3. Wasn't thrilled with it.

 

Time to watch mr woodcock again.

 

wow. real title for a non porn movie.

 

Divergent - Could've been 30-40 minutes shorter than it was. Dragged for too long
Escape Plan - Better than I expected, but full of typical action movie characters.

 

i could not figure out the f--king plot in diviregent.
just watched enemy at the gates for the100th time.

 

Divergent is almost like a "made for TV" version of The Hunger Games.

 

i watched a bit of birdman,what a stupid movie!

 

I watched Chef tonight. Thought it was decent but about 15 minutes too long and it felt sponsored by Twitter.

 

watched face/off and the contender.both good movies i have seen numerous times.jeff bridges plays a cool president.

 

Watched the newest x men. I was a little distracted by some t&a so I missed some parts, but I thought it was good.

 

The Babadook. ......Horrible. 2 out of 10

Fury. I digged it. 7 out of 10. In the Black Hawk Down class of war films. Lots of action and makes some statements, but way too over the top to be in the class of the true greats like Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon and Down Periscope

 

Ugh you have no taste.

 

Down Periscope is American cinemas awnser to Das Boot.

The most intense, thought provoking Naval film ever filled with rich characters and societal metephors.

The scene where Rob Schneider questions the cook about cooking lard was a great statement on how America treats its working class. How Schneider didnt get an Academy award nom is unexplainable

About Fury......

Brad Pitts character was pretty cookie cutter. The toned down version of Berenger's SSGT Barnes you see from writers with little interest in character development.

The kids transformation from total pu**y to harden vet was a bit over the top. Infact the crew itself was more of a characture of hardened vets, and this is coming from someone who watched a guy choke a cat to death in Fallujah.

The action sequences were very good. The tank battle kinda reminded me of an old school sub battle.

I liked the fact that it was more "a day in the life of" then following a compelling storyline and still had a very good climax.
