I watched the entire game (as did the rest of the U.S.A.) live and in color. Probably the single most important sporting event in U.S. history. Had the Super Bowl been airing at the same time, there may have been no-one watching the Super Bowl. Simply stated, this hockey game transcended sports. Great post!
I watched the 30 for 30 this morning about the russians perspective of this game. Quite interesting. I was a year old when this game happened lol.
I didn't see that but they had to have said that they were in shock, flat out took the Americans for granted and so embarassed they didn't want to go back to the motherland.
Watched a rerun last night. The soviets certainly had some great housing while in Lake Placid. A prison?
