Merriman or a QB was the target but I feel the QB situation has seen the cream taken off the top and now much of a muchness. I really fancied one of the Chargers duo of Williams or Merriman but they also hit the wayside so with this in mind, I decided that I had to get a big play threat for my offense. In Chad Johnson, I have a four time pro bowler with 5 straight 1000+ yard seasons under his belt and over the same period, he averages a TD ever other game. He is also experienced enough to know what it takes to perform but at an age where he should be in his prime years.​
