Currently on my team my QBs are Jay Cutler and JP Losamn. Neither is overly impressive but 1 of them could break out this season IMHO. They also have the same bye week. Our waiver wire just opened up today and there were a few surprises. Rex Grossman and Tony Romo were both dropped and now available. I'm considering picking one of them up. We get 1pt/50yds, 6pts/td, -2pts/int. What would you do? Thoughts please...

Grossman would be a good pickup to play based on match-ups, I'd never want him as my weekly starter though.

I have Cutler on my team. But, he's backing up P.Manning. :icon_cool:

That what I was thinking too. Who would you keep Losman or Cutler?

    I'd keep Cutler.

I'm partial to Cutler, from what he showed in limited time last year (9 TDs in 5 games) he should be a solid QB this year.

I think I'd keep Cutler, too.

I would keep Cutler and pick up Romo. I had both Grossman and Romo on my team last year and Grossman was so wildly inconsistent I couldn't remotely play him. Romo's worst games last year still got me some fantasy points.

A lot of people I know are very high on JP Losman, but I'd like to see some more out of him first. Cutler has the better overall team around him to aid in his development.

Cutler has better WRs but JP had better numbers down the stretch. The Bills schedule is tough and Losman could struggle out of the gate. I also have TO on my team so if I picked up Romo I could get those QB/WR bonus points. So confused...

JP will be given more opportunities to put up numbers opposed to Cutler. Denver runs left, right and center and Cutler may have only 20-24 attempts per game. Losman should average 24-27 with a rookie RB behind him. Buffalo will trail more often as well so that will be even more pass attempts. If these attempts result in completions, then the choice is easy. My ranking would be Cutler, Romo, Losman. It will probably be marginal how different there end of season numbers end up being TD/INT wise.

Pick up Romo and keep Losman....I can see Shanny getting conservative with Cutler. I think Losman would be a better back up for ya.

I still haven't made a decision on this. For week 1 I'm pretty confident with starting Cutler. Take a look at their schedules the first 6 weeks. Based on that, I'd rank them: Grossman, Cutler, Romo, Losman.

    Losman:
    9/9/2007 Denver 1:00pm
    9/16/2007 @Pittsburgh 1:00pm
    9/23/2007 @New England 1:00pm
    9/30/2007 N.Y. Jets 1:00pm
    10/8/2007 Dallas 8:30pm
    Week 6 BYE

    Cutler:
    9/9/2007 @Buffalo 1:00pm
    9/16/2007 Oakland 4:15pm
    9/23/2007 Jacksonville 4:05pm
    9/30/2007 @Indianapolis 4:15pm
    10/7/2007 San Diego 4:15pm
    Week 6 BYE

    Grossman:
    9/9/2007 @San Diego 4:15pm
    9/16/2007 Kansas City 4:15pm
    9/23/2007 Dallas 8:15pm
    9/30/2007 @Detroit 1:00pm
    10/7/2007 @Green Bay 8:15pm
    10/14/2007 Minnesota 1:00pm

    Romo:
    9/9/2007 N.Y. Giants 8:15pm
    9/16/2007 @Miami 4:05pm
    9/23/2007 @Chicago 8:15pm
    9/30/2007 St. Louis 1:00pm
    10/8/2007 @Buffalo 8:30pm
    10/14/2007 New England 4:15pm

For Week 1, Cutler or Romo would be my starter. Week 2 would definately be Cutler. Week 3 is the hard decision because of the defensive matchups. Overall, based on matchups, Cutler would probably be your #1 with Romo a close second in my eyes. I don't trust Grossman enough to start him without his consistency improving.

Not so sure about that. The Raiders had a great pass defense last year. Denver may run over them and call few passes. I think I'd start Romo for week 2.

Week 3 is tough. Grossman may have the better matchup but... he's Grossman. :icon_neutral: I'd start Cutler.
