Johnson and Bloom's being cut has been independently confirmed. If this isn't proof: Sav Rocca has signed a 3-year contract with the Eagles today. Source I also FULLY expect another roster move (waiver claim or so) before the end of the day today.
Definitely a done deal. I'm sure he'll improve as he gets more experience too. He could easily end up being a Pro Bowler eventually.
Hey guys, just letting you know I registered. I am wbgrafix on the old nfl-fans site. man that place went down hill
Cuts are official, and they're DIFFERENT than the original list: WR J. Bloom P D. Johnson CB R. Barksdale FB J. Cain WR Z. Collie LB T. Daniels (WHAT?) FB J. Davis CB D. Fox S C.J. Gaddis WR M. Gasperson S E. Harris C J. Harvey G J. Hobbs DT M. Lopez RB N. Ilaoa DE M. Murrell WR J.J. Outlaw T J. Palmer LB D. Roper DT J. Clark WR B. Sampy TE L. Vickers Some real shocks in there (Daniels and Roper)...
Daniels for Jordan is what worries me. Akeem had a ton of preseason tackles (think he was 3rd in the NFL), but I think Daniels is/was the better player. Jordan (generously listed at 228) is VERY undersized, and Daniels (at 245-250) played well here. Like I said in my blog post, we're not done yet--I think another shoe will drop, I just don't know what.
Dawk...glad to see your Eagels have given Sav a contract as punter...he will not let you down.:icon_biggrin:
I doubt they look at Darius. They really don't find anything wrong with Considine. The Eagles made two moves early this afternoon--they signed DT Kimo vonOelhoffen, recently cut by the Jets, and placed DT Ian Scott on the "minor injured reserve" list, meaning that when he can return, he will be released by the Eagles, and will be a free agent who can sign with any team BUT the Eagles. Scott making the team was nothing more than a diversionary tactic to acquire a healthy DT.
No problem. In case you guys aren't aware of the feature here, you can find Eagles new nice and easily. Go to the top and click NFC News. Then go to the NFC East and on to the Eagles.
Yes. JR Reed, and UDFA LB Pago Togafau. Source Source 2 To make room, LB Akeem Jordan, and S Marcus Paschal were released. Togafau will back up Omar Gaither at MIKE. He's 5'10", 250, and played at Idaho State. I'm sure you all know Mr. Reed.
