I would be scared to play Pittsburgh the way they are playing right now. They demolished the previously-unbeaten 49ers today. Big Ben is back to his 2004-2005 form, Willie Parker is running wild like Hulk Hogan, and the Steelers Defense is stout again. They are a top 3 NFL team, IMO.

in the same respect that haven't even come close to losing, so you can't say that aren't real but you don't have to say they are real

at least they have a good young nucleus, and are headed in the right direction ... unlike the bills.

The Steelers are for real. They're very strong in most aspects of the game. The Patriots, Colts, Steelers are all undefeated in the AFC. I would put Pittsburgh behind New England as being the 2nd best team in the league right now. The Colts won big in week 1 over what appears to be a counterfit NO squad. Then they barely squeeked by Tennessee and Houston. The Steelers have blown out their opponents in a very impressive fashion.

I like them to buy the Niners something pretty...after all when you heck someone isn't that appropriate? :tsk:

Note: By heck I mean a good O'fashioned butt whooping.

The Colts always have a hard time with the Titans.

The fact is: the Colts have faced more 'Real'competition in the first three games of this season than either the Pats or the Steelers.

    Just keep dreaming.

So.....they haven't beaten a playoff team yet....they've played the schedule that was dealt to them and won handily in all three games. They did manage to hold the Cleveland Offense to 7 points and that same offense scored how many against the Bengals...and before you say yeah it was the Bengals...the Browns also scored 24 against a good Raider defense.....but let me guess...you say the Raiders d isn't that good also....lol....amusing how some can't give credit where it is due.
So how come nobody is talking about the Pats not being for real? They've played....the Jets....the Chargers and the Bills....why isn't there a discussion about how they haven't played much of anyone? According to Pacolts in another thread....it's because the the Pats sucked last year right?
Chargers were definitely better than the Niners last year but otherwise I'd argue that the Steelers level of opponents has been about the same as the Pats this year....
I do not think the Steelers are as good as the Pats but are they for real?...Why not...they have a solid running game a very good defense and their QB isn't making mistakes. They are strong at TE so far and....now have a return threat on special teams...I think the Steelers will be there come playoff time.

They're only two years removed from a Super Bowl, so you know they have the talent. I'd say this team is for real.

I still gotta say the the pats are the cream of the crop in the AFC. And i disagree with you about the Pats schedule... I'd say the Chargers and Jets are tougher the Niners and Browns.

Oh I agree with ya there NJ....all I was saying is they arent that much different. Think the Niners could give the Chargers a run right now? I'd say Yes......could Browns compete with the Jets?....I'd say yes.... But I didn't mean to come off as saying the Steelers competition has been better...just close to the same as Pats.

Look, I am not trashing the Steelers or the Pats--they are both great teams. I am just saying that three weeks into the season it is way too soon to annoint the best team in the conference.

    The Colts--3-0; The Pats--3-0; The Steelers--3-0.

You don't have to convince me that the Steelers are among the AFC elite. I'm just saying that it is premature to start listing them as 1, 2 or 3.

The Steelers play the Pats and the Colts play the Pats; I just think that mid season (week nine) is the first time that we get a feel for any of these teams.

I didn't mean to offend you.

It's cool Pa....but when you are saying they sucked last year and that's why they played nobody this year....in two different threads....seems like you're trashing them. Wouldn't you take it the same if someone said that about Colts?

The schedules are made literally years in advance not yearly, except for 2 game I believe.
