Week 6 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 6 in this thread.
Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Thomas Jones vs NE or Tatum Bell @ OAK. We start 2 RBs and my other starter is Joseph Addai.
We get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

  2. Garnett

    Garnett Gritt Tuff

I need to start 2 of 4 RBs

    Marion Barber
    Reggie Bush
    Brian Westbrook
    Sammy Morris

I usually go against Bush but Barber has a really tough match up and I've not heard anything definate on Mauroney so Morris is up in the air.

Maroney practiced today so I'm sure he'll be a go. I would go with Westbrook and Barber. Bush is playing a pretty tough Seattle D and New England can be run on if you don't let them get a 20 point lead and take yourself out of the running game.

Maroney practicing doesn't mean he's going to get his job back...Morris has outplayed him both in his absence and leading up to it, so IMO Morris is still a safe start, plus he will get redzone carries even if Maroney is back. Barber's got a rough go against NE, and I am also avoiding Bush even though I can't quit him yet.

I'd go Morris and Westy, myself.

I have questions all over the place this week...I'll throw these out for input.

    PPR league...

Greg Jennings or Pat Crayton at flex with Hoosh and S.Moss starting? Derrick Ward is also an option.

    Standard Scoring...

    Roddy White or Colston?

    AND in another...

    Roddy White or Welker?

Jennings with Hoosh and Moss.....Colston over White and last one I'd probably go with White over Welker because Stallworth is finally starting to step in opposite R Moss so Welker's catches will probably drop.

Screw the matchup, Barber will get the redzone carries so stick with him. I don't think Maroney practicing means he'll play either. He's practiced a few times the last two weeks also. I'm not sure Westbrook's status health wise yet so I'd wait and see what kind of particiaption he has during Friday's practice. If he can't go, roll with Morris. He'll also get the short yardage carries in the redzone.

You like the Roddy White, do ya?

Derrick Ward. RB is always a better option at flex.

Marques Colston. He's gotta do good eventually, right? Although last week against a horrible Panthers secondary he didn't. I'd give him one more shot over an Atl player though.

Wes Welker. Welker's numbers have dipped the last 2 weeks but I just don't trust any Atl player like I said.

    Eli and Daniels.
McNabb is way too inconsistent and Eli quietly is doing pretty decent. Daniels has yet to get a td but is due. He's been targeted a ton the last 3 weeks and had 100 yds receiving last week.

Both QB's have good matchups but I would lean towards Eli.
Shockey would be a no brainer for me. Its a primetime game and he loves the spotlight, and a weak Falcons D + Owen Daniels hasn't done crap.

Owen Daniels has done quite a bit actually...if I'm not mistaken he is the Texans leading receiver, and has better stats than Shockey so far except for scoring(24 for 298 0 TD's vs. 18 for 230 1 TD). With Andre Johnson and Jacoby out, he's been Schaub's top target, most of those stats have come since then. As WR pointed out he went over 100 last week, and I'd expect him to continue putting up #'s until Johnson is both back and fully healthy. If anything I'd say Shockey is the one who hasn't done crap.
THe play of both Plax and Toomer, as well as Wards emergence as a reciever out of the backfield, seems to be pulling ELi's eyes away from Shockey.
I'd tend to agree with WR and start Daniels, even though it is hard to pull oneself away from Shockeys "name value" and start a "nobody". But neither the stats nor the games lie, and Daniels is a far larger part of the Texans offense than SHockey is in New York. IMO, Daniels is going to be a far better FF TE over the course of this season than Shockey and is a better start.
