Ads That Keep Popping Up

Every time i refresh the page, I am constantly getting fade in ads for a diet site. Is this going to be something that is going to stay? Because it's really annoying.

 

It's an ad that helps pay the bills here, are you using firefox or IE here? I get the ad on the front page only.

 

Well i'm on IE and i only get the ad on the front page as well

 

I'm on firefox and it sometimes comes up in between browsing threads.

 

Thanx Redskins, the ad is supposed to only be on the front page I think, but I'll let Steve now when he gets home. I have firefox and see it only on the front page.

JJ, the whole full page ad comes up browsing threads?? weird.

 

I'm pretty sure it has done, but it may just be my memory, I haven't seen one for about two days mind. It could have been when I've gone from a thread to the main page.

 

I'm on IE and it shows up randomly in all areas of the board, but not very often

 

I got it when Olly sent me a PM about a thread being non-stickied.

nah, it doesn't bother me at all. It don't come up very often, so it's cool

 

Just to clarify, I wasn't imagining things... The ad does come up in between threads and it just came up when I was editing a post!

 

The samething happens to me too. It does get annoying after a while. Oh well, as long as it has something to do with GIF.

 

I use firefox and only get the ad when I first log on, never as I'm posting or editing etc.

 

Same here. It doesn't bother me at all.

 

I am actually relieved that it is you guys because I thought I was getting adware, it's cool and understandable guys.

You guys may want to rethink the pop up ads. I'm sure it doesn't really bother any of the regulars here, and it brings in money for the site, but I doubt apoc's going to be the only one to think this is adware, and it seems like a good way to scare off members who would be thinking about registering. a02:
