Am I alone in hating this cocky little punk? Two separate occasions yesterday he is jawing at the Colts fans. And then a few weeks ago with the Broncos. To make the concerted effort to walk over to the stands to yell at some fans and kids....wow. Big man, Phillip. Big man. Oh, but they call the Patriots classless. Roll Eyes.gif I hope New England rolls big on Sunday.
When are people going to learn that Rivers could give a crap what the people in the stands say? He's going to do what he's going to do regardless, the people in the stands try and rattle him and he throws it back at them and then grins.
I think he's one of those guys that NEEDS some type of controversy or something negative to get him into the game and fired up. I can't stand the way he cries every time he gets touched by a defender.
Have you actually heard his "trash talking". It's not even like he's cussing people out. Yesterday you could hear him perfectly when he was going into the tunnel. And really he doesn't give a crap what you think, I actually think he thrives when people are hating him. So I hope opposing fans continue the hating.
it wouldn't be so, bad....but the chargers started this whole 'class' thing last season with the pats and now look at them. i've seen rivers throw many temper tantrum when things don't go his way....and LT is starting the same

I don 't really care what he said..I personally thought the refs should have flagged him for taunting. They flagged the guy from the Colts, (I think it was Sanders) for taunting the Chargers kicker after he missed a field goal. No one knows what was said there either. They were teammates and friends in college so it was probably nothing more than a little razzing between friends. I agree that Rivers needs to shut his piehole before someone shuts it for him.
My opinion of Rivers stems from the playoffs last year when he was in the playoffs last year, I believe against the Patriots, and a play was whistled dead before a NE defender could stop his momentum. He sort of barely touched Rivers - if he even did at all - and Rivers tossed himself to the ground to try and draw a flag. It was hilariously pathetic, the refs were probably wishing there was a rule that existed so they could give him 15 yards.

There's no rule for taunting or trash talking to fans, there is a rule towards taunting the other team, and Sanders didn't get flagged for what he said. If played got flagged for everytime they talked trash, the refs would be throwing flags all game.
bob sanders patted the kicker on the shoulders for missing the field goal, is why he was flagged. Rivers shouldnt have been flagged for the fan ordeal, all he said was " yeah, Yeah! I appreciate it!.. ill be back! " I agree he does whine/complain way too much tho. If anyone should've got flagged for 'taunting' yesterday, in any game.. besides bob sanders, it shouldve been Brandon Jacobs for throwing the football and hitting the Playclock, when his big butt didn't do crap on that drive, but come in and score a 1 yard TD run, after Ahmad Bradshaw got them all the way down there in order for his big butt to be able to score.
That's nothing, I despise Norv turner and I hope he gets FIRED by the end of 2008's season. pr**k never should've taken the money and ran to San Diego. And yeah, I didn't like rivers jacking off to the colt fans. He's setting himeself up for a good hurt next year when Chargers/Colts meet.
