Most of my family is originally from South Philly. Thank God none of them have done it. I would disown them all.
Thank god for the liberty bell, cheesesteaks, and snowballs at Santa. May the world never learn of our horrible secret.
what does it say for heckert when he has a 4 1/2 hour meeting with atlanta and then they decide to go with a guy they never even interviewed ???? well, seems the eagles are going to solve the TE position quickly - the franchise tag is going on lj smith. remember though - heckert said he's very good when healthy. yeah tom, he's also very good when he holds onto the ball.
where did you see they are going to franchise him? I can't see them wasting that much money on one guy for one year. When was the last time they used the tag on anyone? I know they initially slapped it on Simon, then took it back.
i heard it on 950 sports talk this morning. i could actually see them do this. it's only one year and they can develope celek some more during that time. at worse case they can see if any team is dumb enough to give up what it would take to get him.
that would be nice but i think celek is going to see a significant amount of playing time so i dont know if they will franchise tag him i think celek is gotten a firm hold on the system so far i think he has the talent.
Hell no i was just point out something to another memeber i didnt mean i like that hes gonna be good but no gates.
actually gates is a pretty good blocker but then again he doesn't get called on to block too often because he's too busy catching the ball and scoring td's. :icon_cheesygrin: BTW - there is some definite division in the lockeroom. did anyone here see the sheldon brown interveiw on sports final - he responded to mcnabb stating he team needs more playmakers. he said he'll never throw teamates under the bus like that. mcnabb never mentioned any particular postition. he also stated that he, himself needed to do a better job. funny thing is that later on in that same interveiw when brown was asked about the defense's lack of turnovers he stated, "what it's matter, even if we got turnovers nothing would done with the opportunity." now if that isn't being hypocritical i don't know what is. he flat out threw the offense under the bus. hey sheldon, guess what, dmac is 100% right, suck it up nancy. we do need more playmakers, we need them on offense, defense and special teams.
its his fault also if they could get a turnover who said they couldnt turn in into points i think he was just trying to make himself look good.
you know i was figuring we'd dump kearse this offseason but at the numbers here -> http://www.eaglescap.com/Players/JevonKearse.html
I don't. If they couldn't do anything in the years they have been with the team, why would they all of sudden turn it around now?
ryan moats when he had a chance in 05 to be the starter he killed a team and had two really long touchdowns runs other than that he hasnt had the chance i think ryan moats will be back in philly next year.
