A day after being rejected by Jason Garrett, the Ravens decided to take another calculated gamble by hiring John Harbaugh, a rising young assistant in the NFL. The Ravens will introduce him at a news conference tomorrow at noon. Harbaugh, the Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach, has never been a head coach at any level and has never been a coordinator in the NFL. Link: Baltimore Sun
A few years ago losing Harbaugh would have upset me as an Eagles fan. The units he's been in control of the last few years have slipped though. I'm just wondering what other Eagles coaches he will take with him.
I know very little about him so it's hard to express an opinion other than I think the Ravens needed someone with experience and an offensive minded coach. Not sure he sounds like the best fit unless he's a good disciplinarian.
He was the Eagles special teams coach for years and became their defensive backs coach last year. I'm not sure about his offensive philosophies.
i thought they would of tryed to go after another offensive guru i know they didnt get garrett but theres alot of other smart minded offensive cordinators out there.
