I like this list. Just put SB XLII at number 2 and move the others back one slot and I think you've got it.

Very interesting to see how four of the last 10 Super Bowls are in the top 6. Similar to Dyer, I'd put Super Bowl XXXIV first then Super Bowl Super Bowl XLII and in 3rd Super Bowl XXXII

Looking past my bias...the Titans Super Bowl shouldn't be higher then XLII if you think about it. We were down 16-0 at one point. The second half was ok but the entertaining part was the 4th quarter.

You could say the same about XLII but when you factor in everyone was waiting the best offense in the history of the league to explode only to watch them be shut down time and time again? I'd say that is the best Super Bowl I've ever seen.

Super Bowl XXXIV was boring through 3 quarters. I'd put it behind XXIII and XLII.

The only reason people say this past SB was exciting was because of the ending. The first 50 minutes(game minutes) was a suck fest plain and simple. Plus watching around one minute of game time to seven minutes of commercials was just too much to handle.

the first 50 minutes was great if you like defensive battles.

I'd drop XXXII from 1 to 4 and move all the others in front of it. I agree with Crowned on this SB....it was a great game if you like hard hitting and defense, the last 10 minutes was icing on the cake.

Interesting list and as with any "Best Ever" list....matter of opinion with the basis for that best ever decided by the author of the article.
What determines the best ever? So John Elway getting a ring makes a better game than the 85 Bears and Walter Payton getting a ring?....Just sayin'.....I don't agree totally with his list but he has picked some of the great ones. And before everyone/anyone yells...I certainly don't think the Bears pounding the Patriots into oblivion was more entertaining than any of these 6.
I think that two of the three Steelers/Cowboys games were pretty entertaining also. That's my bias though:icon_cheesygrin:

John Stallworth victimized the Cowboys for two first-half touchdowns.(AP)

Terry Bradshaw passed for a record four touchdowns to lead the Steelers to victory. The Steelers became the first team to win three Super Bowls, mostly because of Bradshaw's accurate arm.
Bradshaw, voted the game's most valuable player, completed 17 of 30 passes for 318 yards, a personal high. Four of those passes went for touchdowns – two to John Stallworth and the third, with 26 seconds remaining in the second period, to Rocky Bleier for a 21-14 halftime lead.
The Cowboys scored twice before intermission on Roger Staubach's 39-yard pass to Tony Hill and a 37-yard fumble return by linebacker Mike Hegman, who stole the ball from Bradshaw.
The Steelers broke open the contest with two touchdowns in a span of 19 seconds midway through the final period.
Franco Harris rambled 22 yards up the middle to give the Steelers a 28-17 lead with 7:10 left. Pittsburgh got the ball right back when Randy White fumbled the kickoff and Dennis Winston recovered for the Steelers. On first down, Bradshaw fired his fourth touchdown pass, an 18-yard pass to Lynn Swann to boost the Steelers' lead to 35-17 with 6:51 to play.
The Cowboys refused to let the Steelers run away with the contest. Staubach connected with Billy Joe DuPree on a 7-yard scoring pass with 2:23 left.
Then the Cowboys recovered an onside kick and Staubach took them in for another score, passing four yards to Butch Johnson with 22 seconds remaining.
Bleier recovered another onside kick with 17 seconds left to seal the victory for the Steelers.

Amen. I always scoff at people who think defensive battles are boring. It was great football. High stakes, lots of intensity, an underdog showing up the favorite, XLII had it all. And then came the last ten minutes that bumped it up from a good game to a great one.

I enjoyed the hell out of SB XLII. And anyone who didn't either loves lots of points.....or a Patriots fan. :icon_cheesygrin:

Should've been 3/3 but it was handed to Larry Brown on a golden platter. Steelers dominated that game.

    Alas...I'll settle for 2/3!

This is more like a list of the best Super Bowls for those who always miss the first 3 quarters. Like the Rams/Titans. Great fourth quarter but far from a great game.
