The Patriots and Randy Moss really aren't close to a new contract, although the Pats believe Moss will give them the option to match whatever deal he does receive on the open market. That makes sense because the clubs pursuing Moss will be limited because he wants to play for a contender. The most interesting rumor is Moss joining the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys can pay up, and wouldn't T.O. and Moss be interesting to watch, not to mention impossible to defend? Source: John Czarnecki, Foxsports.com
Pipe dream. How many teams do you think Moss could mesh with like he did the Pats last year? He was unhappy at the end in Minnesota and totally unhappy in Oakland. So how many systems and coaches could match what the Pats did with him last year? You think there's enough passes to make him and TO happy? I doubt it. Romo's head would be spinning from all the receivers screaming for the ball. Just can't see that happening nor working if it did.
What's wrong with Owens and Moss competing for the ball? That's what cost Dallas the Superbowl in not having enough options on WR. Dallas should possibly go for this deal in my book, be the best 1-2 WR duo.
The two most selfcentered WR's on one roster? I don't think this will work. Why not adding Johnson too :icon_cheesygrin:
I would seriously doubt that T.O and Moss would ever get along on the same team. Just can't see it happening. Moss should stay right where he's at as long as the Pats will ante up for him.
Moss, TO, Whitten and Romo throwing!?!?!?! good gracious that would horrific to defend! BTW people, winning cures all.....if they do happen to land Moss everything will be just fine...all that matters is the "w's"
If all that matters is the w's then he'd stay in New England and take a pay cut right? Patriots just finished the second best season ever and there's talk of him leaving?
Not Happening... See Moss when Vikings were winning. See Moss when Vikings were losing. See Moss when Raiders were...well...always losing. See Moss when Patriots are winning. ---------- See Owens when Niners were winning. See Owens when Niners were losing. See Owens in Baltimo...whoops...when Eagles were winning. See Owens leave Philadelphia. See Owens when Cowboys are winning. Having said that, Winning cures a lot...but I highly doubt that those two could exist on the same team. I would like to see it though...it would be insane...
I just don't see how it would work. I could see Owens going for it before I could see Moss. If a play was called for Owens would that be a play that Randy decides to dog it on and not be the decoy? It would be awesome if LT and LJ were in the same backfield but don't think that would work either. Looks good on the Pro Bowl field but I just can't see it for 16 games.
I don't think he is leaving. I am in the camp that thinks he's got a deal done already. If anything, I think he may test the market, go back to the Patriots to get the money... I think that could be a little risky too. If someone like Philadelphia (as an example) throws a ton of money at him, it could price the Patriots out of the running. How many players REALLY take a pay cut to stay with a team to win a championship? Tom Brady? Peyton Manning? The only player I can recall that jumped ship from one team to take money and try to win a Championship AND DID was Reggie White. I agree 100% with you...although, I would love to see it... 4th Best Season Ever...:icon_wink: 17-0 Dolphins 18-1 Bears 18-1 Niners
