I'm not expecting Fitz, but it's fun to think about. Hell, if anyone can rework a new deal, it's Joe Banner
fitz will get less guaranteed money than samuel. but his size and ability make fitz very tempting. lj smith is going to be key no matter who we have at wr. plus the o-line did not have a good year last year. they have to get back to form. nope - thanks to the redskins signing archuletta.
Archuelta really sucks man i think kearse was worth it just for that one 2004 season every eagles fan has to say it was magical even though we didnt win we performed like superbowl champions all year long.
he was "big" in 2004...probably worht the signing just for helping the birds get to the super bowl...???
I'm sure there are a few more Redskin FA signings that you could put on the list before Kearse as well. And hey, they always have this year to tack on a few more.:icon_mrgreen:
it sounds like the Eagles are going to try and sign Chris Clemens from Oakland. It looks like he is a LB/DE tweener like Gocong, but they will use him at end. He didn't play much last year, but had 8 sacks.
I wouldn't mind him being signed, but he seems like the type of player that can go either way..a solid guy off the bench or total bust.
Whatever mcnabbs says he gets he just got some more playmakers i can't wait to see what jim johnson can do now with a awesome corner like asante samuels.
I think Dmac meant some offensive playmakers but when we trade out Lito and a 2 for Fitz he'll get his way :icon_cheesygrin:
Awesome start to free agency! Reminds me of the 04 offseason when we brought in Kearse and Owens. I think this team really wants to give McNabb (and Dawkins as well) one more shot at a ring here in Philly. I was really scared they would ignore the numerous cries for playmakers, but they really shocked us. Now I'm exciting to see what the do with Lito. If they can pull off a trade for Fitz I might go into a coma.
You guys stick with me...I'll take you places!!! :icon_lol: They'll have their WR by the end of the weekend...most likely...Walker...
I agree. I also think it have to do with being the only team in the division that didn't make the playoffs. On top of that, another team from the division that they felt they owned for so long won the Super Bowl before this regime did. It was a wake-up call. Keep the moves coming!
By the way...On a side note: I predicted the Hossa Injury Yesterday too...No Kidding... Scary Freaking Witchcraft going through my body right now...:skull: I thought of you Dawk when I first heard the rumors of the Birds shipping Sheppard to Arizona for Fitzgerald... You must've been jumping through the roof at the "whispers" alone...
