So you mean to say you don't have online access to the Philadelphia newspapers on McNabb, or the situation with Andy Reid? Wow, and you claim to be an Eagles fan too. Let me save you all some time: Goodell>Chronicle writers>York>Nolan>Fake 49er fans like SuperBeast> Do not like to see the 49ers win any games.
It's got to be a little better in Niner-Land now that the Genius has been banned from the building...
So..back to football....Robinson given an extension..good to see...I was thinking with the pickup of deshaun foster they might have him on the outs..I still think this guy could be a playmaker for this team..hopefully they'll increase his opportunities..
I wonder if Martz is going to run any of the trick plays you would occasionaly expect to see with a converted QB at both RB and WR...
I think our entire team has the talent to be dangerous if they were used properly. While I'm not real High on Martz, he should still be WAY better than Hostler.
He definitely looked like he tossed more than a few back during his interviews...that guy looked loaded sober....
49ers | Lawson to start in 2008 Mon, 7 Apr 2008 14:39:53 -0700 Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers LB Manny Lawson will start the 2008 season at strong side linebacker.
And here I was thinking they'd bench him for being injured.....I had him ranked below TBC, Harylson, Roderick Green, Jay Moore, and Ulbrich...yep...he should be 6th in the rotation...:icon_rolleyes:
K, so I'm no real Nolan supporter, but statements like that bug me. He took over a team with virtually nothing and needs across the board. The guy added VD who should be able to be a Gates-like #1 target as well as help the running game. Bryant Johnson in many analysts eyes is good enough to be a legit #1 as well. I am not that upset with our reciever situation. Johnson- Showed flashes, not as sold as many analysts. Wonder how much of his success is merely from Boldin and Fitzgerald drawing coverage. However, should be decent target. Davis- IMO will likely be our #1 reciever next year. Look for him underneath and lined up in the slot often causing matchup problems. Wouldn't be surprised if they even split him outside now and then. Bruce- Ya, I know he is over the hill, but still offers valuable experience in Martz system and is one of the most precise route runners in the league. A good signing IMO Battle- Under-rated possesion style reciever. Would be phenomenal in the slot, like Wes Welker-lite. Gore- Very good recieving back, dangerous with space. Look what Martz did with Faulk and I expect Gore to be utilized the same way meaning probably less rushing yards than 2 years ago (though through hopeful establishment of some level of passing game should improve over last year); but should get a good amount of recieving yards. Jason Hill- Forget already? Many were announcing him as the SOD last year. Lets see what this kid can do huh? I'm not saying we don't need WRs, however I am saying with a proper gameplan and protection (que O-line) our corps is serviceable at worst and respectable at best. O-line, D-line, and LB should be our top concerns, followed by S and WR.
Hostler blew butt...Turner hecked us in the butt and Weasel Wobble Martz better do a better job getting this offense in the zone with the weapons he has at his disposal...
watch martz is going to be just like Turner, Use us as a stepping stone back to head coaching job. And then alex smith with have 5 Offensive Coordinators in 5 yrs.
