Sorry Jaguars, YOU LOSE! You gave up 4 picks to reach for Harvey! Meanwhile, the Jets hit a grand slam with Gholston.:icon_cool:
i think you have to start thinking about the ravens and the pat's in this category of winners as well
Right now I agree with everyone saying KC is at the top. I'd also put (ugh) Dallas up there. Felix Jones paired up with Marion Barber and a secondary with Newman, Pacman, and now Jenkins. Not to mention the two guys they picked up can return kicks, giving them two more possibilities on STs other than the second best punt returner in the NFL (Pacman). I really hope these players bust like no other.
The Chiefs are the obvious winner (so far, at least). They had a ton of picks, and not only did they get Dorsey - but they were able to use some of their extra picks to move up again in the 1st-round and grab Brandon Albert. So they improved both lines (offensive and defensive), and that's where everything starts. Two good moves by them, and they still have several other draft picks... KC is in a good position - no doubt. But aside from them, there's really no other real big winner, as most teams have only made one selection. I did like what the Patriots did with their first pick though. They moved back 3 spots to 10th overall but still picked up Jerod Mayo, LB out of Tennessee, who in my opinion is a great player. Their defense needs to get younger and Mayo will be good. I'm a fan of his. So I liked that move. Cowboys made some good moves picking up Jones and Jenkins too. They're a winner. As far as losers go - I'd say the Jaguars, and then the Titans. The Jags moved up a long way - like from the 23rd spot to 8th. They gave up a lot, just to draft Derrick Harvey, and was that really worth it? I'd say they "lost" there. I also just don't like what Tennessee did with their first-round pick at 24th overall, by grabbing Chris Johnson. The guy is a good RB, but they need a WR much more than a RB. They have White and Young, and the Titans were 5th in the NFL in rushing last year. Their passing attack was awful - ranking 27th in the league. Vince needs a good WR to throw to, so they should have grabbed a receiver there instead of Johnson - like Sweed or Thomas. Bad move by them. WR was a bigger need, as you can see from the stats. So, recap: Main winner: Chiefs Main loser: Jags Runner-up winner: Pats/Cowboys Runner-up loser: Titans Still early to tell since we've only done 1 round... but this is SO FAR.
cheifs win by default, they gave up allen though so how much can you say they are winning? they had so many picks how could they not be winning lol We got medenhall....im thrilled and thats all that matter lol
Eagles are winners for picking up a #1 from next year and the Panthers could really suck this year, I hope
They could have taken Donnie Avery. :icon_mrgreen: A lot of being a "winner" is getting lucky and having players fall to you. They've had that with Dorsey and Flowers, and they also made a nice move to get ahead of a few teams to grab Albert. Panthers - 0-16!
