I like what the Lions did with their first rounder. They have needed offensive line help for the longest time and its about time they went out and got it. Dont know anything about the LB from Colorado, but after losing Boss Bailey they needed someone to replace him.

I love what the Bears did. We got a Tackle, which we desperately needed and we got a very good back in Matt Forte who is also a monster of back as well (6'2" 222lbs). He can be the between the tackles guy and let Benson run the outside stuff since he doesnt like contact. The only thing that would have been better than that would have been for the Bears to get their hands on Brohm or Henne in the 3rd, but they didnt make it that far.

Maybe I'm just stoked because for the first time in a long time, my team actually picked for need as opposed to doing whatever the hell they've been doing the past couple of years. They filled holes today and I am jacked about the picks they made.

I really like the Skins draft to.....Cowboys, Packers and Dolphins also had a good 1st day imo.

I think they are winner because they got 2 of the top 5 receivers.

2 of the top 5 receivers based on someone else's rankings that you didn't read

But do you not think they are putting all their eggs in one basket by picking 2 WR and a receiving threat at TE?

It's not like they are just a passing game away from being elite, they must have other holes to fill. I appreciate they may address those tomorrow, but I'm not sure they needed the 2nd WR just yet. They could have gone a different direction and still have a chance to draft a good WR such as Earl Bennett or Mario Manningham with their next pick.

Kelly and Thomas were in the top 5 WR's in EVERY mock draft I saw.......but I do think they should have addressed other needs than taking 2 WR's and a TE.

especially because the WCO that Zorn is putting in normally takes WR 2-3 years for WR's to really learn. That team is right back to square one and they refuse to draft someone to help that atrocious pass rush, they could have had Merling, but no they trade out of the first to get 2 #2's and misuse them, imo

Yea they could still address that in day 2 but now they have a really bright future at WR.

    Maybe.

Again, I know you don't read much about football and stuff, but the West Coast Offense is extremely difficult to learn for WR's and it was a bit of a stretch throwing all your eggs in, when there are glaring needs on defense and has been for sometime. Everyone knows about the Dline deficiencies seemingly except Vinny and Danny

    86WARD -

    Chiefs are winners.

Like what the Skins have done.

I think the Steelers got the best value for their picks.

A little bit puzzled at St. Louis' selection of Avery.

    Cleveland is a loser.

It still sucks? It was ranked #8 last year. Doesn't seem too bad to me.

I think we had a very good day. TE was a bit suprising but I expect Zorn will be using a lot of 2 TE sets and we badly needed the reciever depth. There was nothing behind Moss and El and there was virtually no value for the lines when we were picking so we will focus on those areas today.

I liked our draft overall....but then, as Sweets pointed out, it doesn't matter how well you draft if those players don't play or don't help your team to get to the next level. Hopefully, they will all work out. I was wanting us to draft a QB....but we did sign one after the draft (Ricky Santos) who I've heard good things about, so we'll see how it goes.

You have to subtract the value of J. Allen from your draft and add it to the Vikes. Still, KC did well, but not as well as it may suggest on the surface.
