I don't know if there is a division rivalry that isn't intense, but let's pick the best in each division. Some are really hard, like the NFC East or the AFC North. Here's mine. AFC North: Ravens and Steelers AFC East: Patriots and Jets (Jets and Bills are close) AFC South: Colts and Jaguars AFC West: Chargers and Broncos (Raiders and Broncos are right behind) NFC North: Bears and Packers NFC East: Cowboys and Redskins NFC South: Panthers and Saints NFC West: Rams and Seahawks
I agree with most of this except that for the AFC West it's Chargers Raiders. Two California teams always an intense rivalry even if the Chargers always blow past them. Also it's a tough division for the NFC East, that's all a bunch of rivalries but going back to the old days I'm gonna have to go. Giants Eagles.
I liked your list, only changed a few. AFC North: Ravens and Steelers AFC East: Patriots and Jets AFC South: Colts and Jaguars AFC West: Chargers and Raiders NFC North: Bears and Packers NFC East: Cowboys and Giants NFC South: Buccaneers and Saints NFC West: Rams and Seahawks
It's quite tight in some divisions. It really depends the time span if I'm honest. Well, here are mine: AFC North: Ravens and Steelers AFC East: Patriots and Jets (Jets and Bills are close) AFC South: Colts and Jaguars AFC West: Chargers and Broncos (Chargers and Raiders close behind) NFC North: Bears and Packers (Packers and Vikings closish behind) NFC East: Cowboys and Giants (Last few years...) NFC South: Panthers and Saints (Doesn't this change every year :laughy32:) NFC West: Rams and Seahawks (Hardly a huge rivalry, but still)
I fixed that for you.....Ravens are never before the Steelers :icon_cheesygrin: Also in the AFC North it's pretty much Steelers and everyone else. All the rest are still trying to catch up to the Steelers. Ravens are the only other ones with a Super Bowl ring and Bengals the only ones with an appearance.
I find it odd that a couple of people have listed Giants-Cowboys for the NFC East. I've always thought of the main two rivalries as Eagles-Giants & Cowboys-Redskins.
The T.O. Opera brought Dallas and Philly? That's why it's hard, and that's why it's so good or so bad to be a fan of a team in the NEAST.
lol...yes it does. saints/falcons is the longest running one with saints/bucs a close 2nd and most recent
Yeah, it's true that all of the teams really are rivals with each other. I personally rank the Eagles most heated rivalries as: 1. Giants 2. Cowboys 3. Redskins
Sains and Falcon was more about the cousins than the team. Saints & Bucs just can't stand each other. Been battling since 2002 when the division was formed.
I'd say... AFC North: Browns and Steelers AFC East: Patriots and Jets AFC South: Colts and Jaguars AFC West: Chiefs and Raiders NFC North: Bears and Packers NFC East: Cowboys and Eagles NFC South: Falcons and Saints (old time NFC West) NFC West: Rams and 49ers (only NFC West rivalry that's more than 6 years old)
If you're a fan of a division, it you think that every division rivalry is intense. Bengals and Steelers is dirty Browns and Steelers is dirtier Ravens and Steelers hate each other like Obama and Hillary Ravens and Browns are always bitter about Modell Ravens and Bengals is always a good game and both teams look forward to it on the calendar every year Browns and Bengals are always trying to win the battle of Ohio in their high-scoring games. The Bengals are falling apart, the Browns are getting better, the steelers are solid, and the Ravens are all over the place. Good year, bad year, mediocre year, great year, ok year, horrible year, mediocre year, good year great year horrible year, mediocre year, bad year, great year, etc. I love this division. My favorite thing about football is beating the steelers. I don't think people get how much Ravens fans hate the steelers and their fans.
maybe I read the thread wrong, because I thought we were talking about the current division. 2002-now, the Saints & Bucs have been the best rivalry in the division. thats just my opinion.
Hate to break it to you guys...but the best rivalry in the AFC West is, and always has been...Chiefs/Raiders, bar none....no matter how either team is doing during the season, they always bring their A-game when they play each other. :icon_cheesygrin: As for the rest.....AFCN...Steelers/Browns....AFCS...Colts/Jags....AFCE...really do the Pats have a big rivalry with anyone in their own division anymore?? NFCE...Cowboys/Redskins....NFCW...Rams/Seahawks...NFCN...Bears/Packers...NFCS...not really sure...so I'll go with Bucs/Saints.
AFC North: Ravens (Old Browns) and Steelers AFC East: Dolphins and Jets AFC South: Colts and Jaguars AFC West: Raiders and Chiefs - no contest. NFC North: Bears and Packers NFC East: Cowboys and Redskins NFC South: The two most winning teams at the time. NFC West: Rams and 49ers Agree 100% just posted that in my list. Raiders/Chiefs is one of the greatest rivalries of all time. It wouldn't matter if one team was 15-0 and one 0-15.
i'm not giving you crap or anything (even though you are a bucs fan:icon_evil: )....guess it just depends on how you interpret the thread title :icon_cheesygrin:
