Debate: Reggie Williams Or Roddy White?

Reggie Williams: 10 touchdowns, caught 63% of passes his way, thrown to 60 times. Ranked 9th in the NFL in DVOA.

Roddy White: 6 touchdowns, caught 61% of passes his way, thrown to 137 times. Ranked 47th in the NFL in DVOA.

Who is the better WR?

Its not that simple.

White had no QB and not a very consistant running game.

Williams has a very good QB and a solid running game.

Neither has done enough yet to prove anything yet.

 

based upon each players QB situation, Ill take White.
He has nice stats after having played with horrible QBS

 

Roddy White did more with less. Williams more or less has been a disappointment and I think he's third on the Jags Depth Chart.

 

Williams was a stud last year for us, 10 touchdowns was something not even Jimmy Smith could do for us. Roddy White did less if you compare percentages and not actually the amount of catches he got because he got thrown to twice as much as Reggie did.

 

He's been more of a disappointment though than a success. The 3rd WR taken in the draft behind Fitzgerald and Roy Williams? He should at least be starting. Just because White was thrown to, doesn't mean the ball was catchable.

from that chart whghite is also 9 places higher on DPAR - total value

the chart where williams is #9 puts him 35 PLACES ABOVE BRAYLON EDWARDS

Jammin will also bring up that they spread the ball about more, well Mike Jenkins who ended up as our #4 WR had 4 more catches than anyone on the jaguars roster aswell, so you can't say we didn't either.

 

They are both Bad... Wouldnt be #1 Receivers on 26 outta 32 NFL Teams

 

I think Roddy White could be...Reggie Williams...not so much.

 

Roddy also led the league in YAC.

reggie williams is widely considered a disappointment, although last year he took several steps towards disclaiming that notion.

I would say White, but I have more respect for Williams than most. I don't think he is a stud reciever yet, but he has made leaps and bounds and seems to be gelling in the system now with Garrard. I think Williams has a better year this year due to circumstance.
